We begin at ancient Smyrna. The first five days we travel inland, to visit Sardis, city of Croesus and western capital of the Persian Empire.

Across the Taurus among stunning scenery and the warm pools of Pamukkale lies ancient Hieropolis, built by the Kings of Pergamon, a charming place to relax and explore. Along the Meander Valley we visit the magical city of Aphrodisias with its complete stadium.

Cities of the Carian Coast

And among the Carian hills we shall see the classical cities of Nysa, Alinda and the stunning Hellenistic city of Alabanda before joining our cruise along the Turquoise Coast, from the island site of Cedrae, Knidos and Loryma to Caunos and Telmessos, a classical feast.
