Swaziland sits astride the Great Escarpment of southern Africa
with dramatic mountain ranges in the west – the Afro-montane
Highveld – falling to typical African bush in the west,
haunt of kudu and white rhino. It’s a country of great
beauty and diversity.
African Wildlife
The upland National Park of Malolotja has blue as well as
the rare black wildebeest, along with other game like blesbok,
rhebok and red hartebeest. In the deep recesses of the Komati
Valley there are hippo and elephant, while in the Bushveld
of the east there are rhino, zebra and troops of baboon along
the Lubombo Mountains, bordering on Mozambique. The bird-life
is among the most prolific in Africa, with over 400 species
recorded.
Rich Heritage
Swaziland is the last of the traditional African kingdoms,
with a long and distinguished history and culture, best seen
at the Swaziland National Museum at Lobamba. Every year there
are traditional festivals like Nqwala and the Reed Dance when
everyone turns out in traditinal dress.
Why not include Swaziland as part of your South
African safari ... and its just
a drive away from Mozambique
