Recent news items about the collapse of budget package tour operator Goldtrail, and before that, XL and FlyGlobespan have understandably shaken consumer confidence in the travel industry. When you book with Temple World, you can be sure that your money is in safe hands. We care about our clients and offer three separate safeguards to ensure you can book with confidence.

Temple World Ltd is bonded by the Civil Aviation Authority with an ATOL, a licence which means that for all tours or tailor-made packages that you book with us containing a flight element, any funds that you pay to us are protected in the event of a company collapse, and you would receive a refund or help to complete your holiday and get home. The CAA carries out stringent financial checks on us to ensure that we qualify for this licence, and you are covered whenever you purchase a tour or tailor-made holiday with us which contains flights.

The internet has made it easy for anyone to put together a tailor-made holiday. If you book your flights and accommodation with different travel companies online it can be cheaper, but your money and holiday will be at risk if one of the companies providing the components collapses. You could be left with holiday accommodation and no flight to get there, or be stranded abroad.

Did you know that if you book flights direct with an airline you WON'T be ATOL protected, including booking extra car hire or flights through the airline? The same is true of any instant purchase ticket (i.e. pay all the monies up front and receive an electronic ticket within 24 hours) whether purchased directly or through an ATOL bonded agency such as Opodo. We have taken out Airline Failure Insurance, which means that any type of air ticket that we sell, whether instant purchase or not, will be refunded in the event of the airline collapsing.

In addition to this, we also hold International Passenger Protection Insurance which covers all other package arrangements made with us (i.e. if you have purchased your own flights, or do not require any but we have made your other arrangements). In accordance with "The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992" all passengers booking with Temple World are fully protected for the initial deposit and subsequently the balance of all monies paid, including repatriation if required, arising from cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to our insolvency. This insurance has been arranged by International Passenger Protection Ltd and underwritten by insurers who are members of the Association of British Insurers & Lloyds Syndicates.
